Look Who’s Helping Women Feel Beautiful!

During this Valentine’s week, we’re giving a shout out to those of you like Michelle Boyer, and Sheryl Geraci who show love all through the year —to some who need it the most.

Domestic violence survivors often live in crisis mode. Fear is the norm. Pampering time just doesn’t exist.

But that changed — at least for a day or two — thanks to these California Mary Kay Independent Sales Directors.

In Fresno, Michelle Boyer hosted a Staff Appreciation Day for the employees of the Marjorie Mason Center. She spent two days pampering the women who serve on the frontlines of domestic abuse. Over the last year, Boyer also gave monthly makeovers to women staying in the shelter.

“I love giving my time, joy and kindness to see these ladies be refreshed,” Boyer said. “That’s the Go-Give Spirit.”

About 200 miles south, Sheryl Geraci has been working with her local domestic violence center for years.

Most recently, she helped about 50 women at the Domestic Violence Center of Santa Clarita feel beautiful through makeovers at the “I Am Worth It” event. Sheryl teaches the women at the shelter to use skin care and color products. She’s done similar work for the last three years.

“As a woman touched by domestic abuse many years ago, I want to help other women who might not have the strength or resources to get out,” Sheryl said. “Helping these ladies is so much fun, and they love the products.”

We salute Michelle, Sheryl and all of you who help these women feel beautiful and valuable.

We know many of you participate in these programs across the country. So we’d love for you to post photos of your events on The Mary Kay Foundation℠ Facebook page.
