Thank you so much for doing this. My grandmother past away from Ovarian Cancer. I have had been medicated for prevention and watched for Ovarian Cancer since I was 22. I have finally been able to have a hysterectomy and no longer have to worry about. However, I worry for other woman in the world because the survival rate is so low.

Amy Roberts and I work diligently to spread awareness for a cancer which receives very little funding and which currently has no screening or cure. If found early enough, chances of survival increases greatly. This is why it is so important to educate women on the symptoms. My sister-in-law recently was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and she went through her first chemo session. She did great! Her and I are now shopping for some wigs to rock them at seminar and despite her fighting she will be at seminar with us this year. I am so proud of her and as I am typing this my tears are coming down because I know god is watching over us and her especially. We will do the teal butterfly challenge for all the women out there that suffer from ovarian cancer. Love you all!

My mother passed away last summer from Ovarian Cancer-2 and 1/2 weeks post diagnosis! After viewing a post stating the 7 signs of OC, the silent killer, she had 5 of them. Awareness is key. I have completed genetic testing from the BrCA mutations and thank the lord I do not have the genes-my daughter is safe from this horrible disease. My sisters are in the process of genetic testing now too. I am thrilled to be associated with Mary Kay and the Foundation for all they do to promote awareness of CA affecting women and the end to DV. I had not heard of the Teal for Butterfly Challenge and will promote this in September (Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month). The Ovarian Cancer National Alliance #30DaysofTeal offer ideas to take action every day in Sept.  To conclude the month, I am part of a local organization raising $ and awareness.
