Mary Kay Plum Cake
This recipe was one of many pink dishes created for Mary Kay by her adoring fans. You may have seen this cake recipe originally published in 2002: And Stirred with Love, Recipes and Reflections Shared by the Mary Kay Family. We bring it to you —just in time for your Easter brunch or dinner!
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 2 jars (4 oz. each) baby food plums
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°
- Grease and flour a tube cake pan
- Beat eggs
- Add sugar gradually; then add oil
- Sift flour and measure it
- Sift again, adding cinnamon and cloves
- Add to the egg mixture, alternating with plums
- Beat well after each addition
- Add pecans, beat again
- Bake for 1 hour at 350°
