We
have the opportunity to make a difference wherever we go.
Sometimes
it takes just a little effort to make a difference in someone’s life.

Kay Ash
Now through May 12, Mary Kay Ash’s birthday, we’re celebrating through
Team Up For Women!® If
you haven’t created your team yet, learn more about it now!
Today, I wanted to share Vivian’s story. I hope you’ll find it as inspiring as I do.
Although she didn’t know about our campaign, Vivian created a “team”
from her elementary school friends.
On her seventh birthday, she decided she had enough toys. So she requested no gifts for herself. Vivian asked each of her buddies to bring one
book that would be donated to the local women’s shelter.
She has watched her parents support the East Texas Crisis Center for
as long as she can remember. (Note to self: my kids are watching!) Now she was old
enough to help too. Vivian knew the
children who come to the shelter often have nothing of their own. Through her donation, these kids would be
able to choose one of these books to keep.
Vivian collected more than 100 books for her local crisis center, which
covers five counties across East Texas.
I know Mary Kay would be so proud of this little girl who used her
birthday to help others. Now that’s what
Team Up For Women!® is all about.
